Warning for X1971A-R5:
On FAS32xx systems that recently upgrade to DOT 8.3x, these systems may experience an UMCE panic pointing at the Flash Cache card. If the card is installed in the IOXM, it will need to be moved to a slot on the MB to resolve the problem. See KB article 2026334 for further information regarding this issue. This document also contains a step-by-step Action Plan Template (KB 1015830) for moving the Flash Cache card to the MB. In the event that moving the cards is not possible, replacing the Virgo.1 card with a Virgo.2 card (X1973A-R6 orSP-1973A-R6) will resolve the problem. On FAS62xx systems that recently upgrade to DOT 8.3x, these systems may experience a Power Fault panic pointing at the Flash Cache card. For these systems, moving the Flash Cache card to the MB is not possible. Hence, the only work around is to replace the Virgo.1 card with a Virgo.2 (X1973A-R6 or SP-1973A-R6) card or remove the Flash Cache card from the system altogether.
